Sleep timer for Windows

--

Sometimes I want to start some music or audio book and want to shutdown my computer after some time, for example for going to sleep. I used to achieve that with the Task Scheduler. This works but is not very user friendly.

I searched and found a free software which has plenty of options. Its name is SleepTimer Ultimate.

Although the name kind of reminds one of some malware, but it is actually a pretty good software. It shows when it will execute the selected action. The available actions are pretty comprehensive. It can log off, shutdown, restart, lock the computer, go to standby or hibernation, execute a program, stop multimedia or even wake up another computer. It can also by used via command line.

It is available as an installer or as a zip on: https://www.sleeptimer.net/
